Thermo-treated ash
The Ash tree belongs to the Oleaceae family and is found throughout Europe. Thermal treatment involves heating the wood to temperatures between 180°C and 230°C. The heat changes the chemical-mechanical properties of the wood, which also takes on new shades of colour. Thermo-treated wood absorbs less moisture, is more stable and is resistant to insect attack, mould and mildew, making it ideal for all exterior uses.
