European oak
The Oak is a large tree with a rounded crown that can reach a height of 30 metres. Widespread throughout Europe, the Oak has lobed leaves and its fruits, acorns, are especially loved by wild animals. Oaks can live to be 2000 years old and perhaps for this reason they are the symbol of strength and longevity. The colour of Oak wood is particularly appreciated for its medium sophisticated tone, and it is one of the finest and most widely used for furniture, interiors, window and door frames.
